Archant’s Design Studio, based in Prospect House, Norwich is responsible for producing advertisements for the Groups newspapers, magazines, websites and digital communications. Due to business reorganisation a manager’s role has become available within the Design Studio.

Responsibility

Managing the magazine design section ensuring that advertisements are designed to the demanded standards, deadlines and costs are controlled within the department budget. As part of the role your team is expected to provide digital ad design for the magazine websites. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have excellent skills and experience in the following areas:-

* Experienced in managing a creative design environment
* Worked in a deadline driven business
* Dealing with internal and external customers
* Organising workloads to achieve deadlines
* In problem solving and decision making
* Working under pressure
* Must be fully conversant with Quark or Indesign
* Must be fully conversant with Photoshop
* Having a working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash preferable
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Must demonstrate and understand the importance of creativity and design
* High level of understanding of the technical aspects of magazine/newspaper production
