The Hunts Post, part of Archant, the UK’s largest independently-owned regional community media business, is looking for a Content Editor to help continue the success of this award-winning title.
The successful candidate will be a fully trained senior journalist with plenty of experience in a busy weekly or regional daily news room.
The role is central in the daily workings of the newspaper and its website. There’s responsibility for shaping the news agenda, breaking and creating compelling stories for the website, uncovering exclusives, developing the title and managing the team.
The Content Editor will also be the number two in the news room and step into the Editor’s shoes when he is away, taking responsibility for a multi-media brand that is involved in all areas of the community.
Applicants will need to be organised, resourceful, motivational and able to lead by example.
