Production Editor (maternity contract) - Archant Life France

Based in Cheltenham

France Magazine, Britain and North America’s best-selling magazine about French travel and culture, is looking for a highly organised and talented production editor to join the team for seven months from October 2010 to April 2011.

Working as part of a very small team, in the busy and friendly office in the regency spa town of Cheltenham, you will be responsible for the production of the UK and USA editions of the magazine, and its additional projects. You will be a fast and highly skilled sub-editor with solid experience on a national magazine or national or local newspaper and you will be used to frequent deadlines. As well as having in-depth knowledge of Quark, you will be adept at rewriting copy, fact-checking, have immaculate attention to detail and you will be able to write brilliant captions, standfirsts and headlines.

Knowledge of French is preferable, but a passion for the subject is essential. Part-time hours will be considered.
